No Spring Blues

It’s officially spring and I’m not mad about it. I’m ready for pretty pastels colors and floral prints. Ready for the warmer weather and all it brings with it. It’s dresses like this that I’m most excited for. This beautiful shade of blue is what originally drew me to this dress. A gorgeous light blue absolutely perfect for spring time. Pretty enough to become your new neutral, this dress can be worn a million different ways. Paired with more neutral colors  ...

Winter White

So the whole “no white after labor day” thing . . . When does that reset? Well, I’m going to say the new year is the best time to start wearing white (that is, if you’ve even stopped). I think rules are meant to be broken and I say wear white all year ’round. There’s too many cute pieces to give up for some antiquated rule. I’m absolutely loving this cute tunic (worn as a dress, of course).  I just can’t stop wearing tops as dresses,  ...

New Years Polka Dots

It’s a new year but I’m bringing you the same style of cute dresses no matter the weather. I could always say that each polka dot is a goal for 2019 because it does feel like I have that many, but the truth is this smock dress is just so perfect to strut into the new year wearing. Every day pieces dressed up together and proving that a monochromatic look doesn’t have to be boring. This peacoat is great to throw on those cold winter days where warmth is a priority but  ...

Comment Dites-Vous? J’Adore!

I think I say this every week, but I think I’ve found my new obsession. Stay with me this time, because this might be serious. I’m obsessed with cheeky, graphic tees. Okay, and I might have another: denim skirts. I don’t wear jeans like ever so this is my way to rock denim but stay true to my skirts-and-dresses-only motif. I have loved the fringe hem on jeans from afar, so finally getting it on a skirt is the best. Guys, I’m loving this look for summer and I’m  ...

As Casual As I’ll Get

For this featured look, I got to use two of my Christmas gifts. My new camera and this cute tie-front sweater dress. I’m loving how casual chic this dress is. The tie-front style is so in and adds a little bit of interest to any outfit. Also taking pictures with my new camera was so fun! This week, I’m working on finishing the last couple of chapters of my book, getting the last bit of furniture for my bedroom, and working on posts for the next coming week.

Mid-Winter Tropics

It’s officially the middle of winter! There was snow all through the holidays and New Years that’s lingering on the ground. Temperatures are beginning to drop to the negative side. The wind it making it bitterly cold outside. And I am in denial. A lover of warm weather still, I’m trying to bring the tropics to the middle of winter with this brightly printed crane blouse. Despite how cute this outfit is, it’s only half working to change the weather.

Bundled and Ruffled

This week, I’ve started getting into the holiday spirit. I wore this out to the Christmas Market in downtown Pittsburgh, which I visited with my mom. There were so many cute ornaments and beautiful prints of the city, all perfect gifts for just about anyone. There was also the Winter Garden, which showcased a bunch of gingerbread houses for the city competition and the stories of different Santas around the world. This weekend, we’re getting our Christmas tree and marathon  ...

Mad About Plaid

I find my love of plaid ironic since I spent eight years of school in it and practically begging to get out. But recently, I’ve been obsessed with all things plaid, especially skirts. Anytime I go shopping now, I inadvertently fall in love with another plaid skirt. It’s the perfect pattern for both fall and winter. And with multiple colors in most prints, the pairings are versatile and endless. I went for a slight monochrome look with an orange sweater and orange details on my  ...

A Dot of Casual

This week I’m getting ready for Thanksgiving, writing a ton, and trying to finish redecorating my room (I know, I know, how can I not be done yet!) But there’s so much going on that only a couple pieces are trickling in one by one. Writing has taken up a lot of time but I’m, for now, on track to finish my book by mid-December. And then starts the exciting, but long road, to publishing. In the meantime, I’ll be sipping apple tea and baking pumpkin cupcakes while I  ...
