Three Jumpers, Three Ways
If there’s one kind of dress I love, it’s a jumper. Seriously, I can’t get enough of them! Good thing they seriously in trend for fall! They’re so easy to wear the entire season because of their versatility. They layer with everything—seriously everything. Warmer fall days, add a tee; cooler fall days, add a sweater. There’s a jumper for every occasion. Dress them up for date night, dress it down for apple picking, dress it cleanly for the office. Not sure there’s a kind of dress more perfectly suited to fall. So here are three different of jumpers, worn three ways: Wear Now, Wear Soon, Wear Later.
Jumper & Tee & Sneakers
Now, this is perfect to wear right now while the weather is still a little warm. For a casual day out with friends somewhere fun like cider tasting or pumpkin picking, throw a tee underneath this velveteen jumper. Any fun graphic tee will do. This simple white one is great for every day, but don’t be afraid to play it up. Band tees, bold prints, bright colors. Any kind of look can be built so easily by mixing up the tee underneath this jumper. The sneakers are an easy way to be comfy all day long. Honestly, my Converses might be my favorite shoes; they’re so comfortable and make any look cute and casual.
Jumper & Sheer Blouse, Rolled-Up Sleeves & Patterned Mules
I’m picturing this look in a coffee shop, curled up in a comfy chair, with a laptop or a book, sipping on a fall flavored drink. I love the piping on this blouse that’s just a little matching detail to the jumper. The blouse’s sheerness makes it the perfect casual shirt to layer with. Roll the sleeves up to the elbows for that messy-put-together look. These cute, patterned mules are a perfect way to make a statement. That’s the only time you’ll hear me call bugs cute. With this, play with colors. Make the blouse and the jumper contrast so the look pops. This green against a burnt camel combines two gorgeous fall colors into one cute look.
Jumper & Chambray & Pointed Flats
Want to wear a jumper in the office? Here’s how. A smart blue shirt in a modern chambray fabric. Buttoned all the way to the collar and cuffs folded over. Guaranteed to turn heads even under the fluorescent lights. So easy to add accessories too. Dainty gold necklaces would look perfect with this outfit. A pair of flats with a pointed toe is perfect for the office. They’re a mix of cute and chic, and in this blue, they add a bit of fun. This is one of my favorite color combinations. Blue and tan are so classic together and they compliment each other just right. If you don’t want to lean all the way into the fall neutrals, a mid-toned chambray is a great way to add color to the look.

Sweater Tank & Jumper & Booties
Weather still warm but you want to wear sweaters? Answer: sweater tank. Combine the best parts of summer and fall for this transitional season. Layered under this colorblock jumper, you’ve got this casual look for a crisp fall day. This combination of dark red and burnt orange makes this jumper dress a fall staple. It allows to for outfits to be built with a variety of neutrals like camel and black as well as colors like navy blue and hunter green. I love this knitted turtleneck sweater tank! The neck is dramatic for an easy statement but without sleeves, you won’t be overheated on those warmer fall days. With a pair of heeled ankle booties, the full fall look is in effect.
Jumper & Printed Blouse & Ankle Boots
Playing with prints is a fun way to make mini statements with your outfits. This mid-length sleeve blouse is printed with old-style rotary phones. How fun! Creating a bit of a retro vibe with this colorblock jumper and telephone print. This look is for those days that aren’t hot and not cold, just in between warm and cool. It’s easy to throw a cardigan or a jacket over it if it gets cooler in the evenings or add knee-high boots with high socks. With all these fun prints out recently, finding one to pair with this jumper would be no problem.
Jumper & Slouchy Sweater & Boots
When the weather gets cooler, what to pull out to combat the crisp air? Sweaters, obviously! A slouchy, off the shoulder sweater over top of a jumper is a fun way to layer. Revealing the bit of the strap with the cozy sweater is just the epitome of fall! This cream sweater is perfect because it contrasts so nicely with the dark red strap. But cream isn’t the only color you can wear. Black, green, or camel would look great too. Either ankle boots or knee-high boots would be a perfect shoe for this look. This is such an easy look for a casual fall day like going on a hayride or pumpkin picking.

Jumper & Tube Top & Peep-Toed Clogs
This look really combines the best of summer and fall: a cute wrap jumper and a plaid tube top. For those warm days when you’re dreaming of fall. This chord jumper has to be my favorite of the three. I like how it wraps, I love the shape, and I love the color and how it layers so well. Even though tube tops are a quintessential shirt of summer, the plaid pattern brings it right into fall. This could even be layered with a cute cardi for cooler days. I think this look is so fun with this tube top and my new obsession: scrunchis. This look is for when summer is lingering but the fall vibes are just too strong.
Jumper & Off the Shoulder Top & Clogs
For when the weather is cooler but not cold; warm but not hot. Layering this jumper with an off the shoulder shirt creates an early- to mid-fall look. The off the shoulder top with the thick straps of the jumper creates a contrast. Adding little, dainty jewelry for a bit of detail. Even when the weather gets cooler, a long-sleeved, off the shoulder top will create the same look for cooler weather. I’m loving this pair of black clogs with this look. When you don’t want to go full boots or mules, clogs are a great in between option. They’re such a different shoe that they’ll make a great statement for a fall look.
Jumper & Turtleneck & Knee High Boots
This look is such a classic. Turtlenecks are great to keep warm without being completely bundled up. I love these two colors together: camel and red velvet. I think they just compliment each other so well and they’re especially pretty fall colors. Something about this look feels especially cozy and it makes me want falling leaves and pumpkin cupcakes. Like I said before, this jumper is probably my favorite of the three and I just love this particular look. How cute would this look with a trench coat over it on really cold days? But for days that aren’t freezing, this simple turtleneck underneath this cute jumper is the perfect fall look.

They layer with everything—tees, sweaters, blouses, anything—and make a cute outfit no matter what they get paired with. So here’s to a long season full of colorful leaves, apple doughnuts, pumpkin cupcakes, and jumpers!
